Lovely handmade log stool for indoor or outdoor use, made from English Larch timber with character markings. Can be used for a manner of different things, garden table, foot stool, side table, pub/kitchen stools etc. Each stool will have it’s own look and grain markings approximate size 15″ high x 13″diameter, cut to size, sanded, smoothed Each stool is made by hand we also offer other sizes which can be made to order. Log stools are sanded down to it’s Natural Finish unoiled, either leave as it is or add y our own personal finish with oil/varnish, natural colours or paint using timber colours such as Cuprinol garden shades. Please allow the wood to dry out completely before staining or painting, placing a protective matt the the base of the stool is also advised to protect furniture if using in doors. The photographs listed show the logs being either light in colour which are unoiled or slightly darker which are oiled. As you can see from the photos once oil is applied this can slightly darken the wood and sometimes show a slight blue tinge in colour, this is the pigment in the wood and brings out the grain, each stool will be different. Please note that this wood is green and hasn’t been dried so remember that it will show cracks and character as it dries out overtime. You can apply further wood varnishes/oils to help nourish the wood or leave as it is to dry out naturally. All of our products are supplied from sustainable woodlands and managed forest.
