This vintage Bunting loveseat porch glider is the real deal, straight out of the early to mid century. This is not a reproduction item. Original, un-modified, ready to refinish, featuring the classic “pie crust” design stamped into the seat and back. This is the rare 2 person loveseat model, which is often harder to find than the 3 seat model. The overall Bunting glider frame + structure is in great shape, made of heavy gauge, high quality steel. This Bunting glider has surface rust only. There are no holes or otherwise broken parts, including on the seating area. The edges of the pie crust design are still fresh with no ragged, sharp, or rusted edges. The stamping is in great shape. Considering its age, and where it was placed near the elements for so many years, the condition is fantastic. All the hardware is there, minus a couple plugs and the plastic deck feet. Although not essential to function, both of these items can be found easily online or at many hardware stores. The glider hangers have been replaced, made of stainless steel so they will not rust or break. The finish can only be described as true farmhouse or shabby chic. A layer of the original factory hunter green paint is there, covered by a layer of paint that seems to be “cadillac teal”, with various surface metal areas showing through as well. The finish could look really cool with just a clear coat, or with a bit of elbow grease (or a wire wheel on a drill) this Bunting glider could be refinished to any color(s) you desire.
