Vintage Antique Original Heywood-Wakefield Wicker SET. MATCHING Set of 3 classic Sticker Wicker pieces. Dated early 1920′s-30. MATCHING ORIGINAL seats &&&& Throw Pillows! This art deco style with typical angular lines and deep seats. Hallmark vertical paired reeds throughout. Outstanding architectural framework with high curved backs and graceful arms. Angular design with slanted seating and level front, side and rear skirting. Metal cross spring seating on all 3 wicker pieces painted turquoise. All Pieces attributed to the Heywood-Wakefield Company. Angular backrest, wide arms with vertical reed design. Two-ply reed back and skirting. Eight large side cabinets under arms. Three upholstered seats and couch backings, two original throw pillows. One small crack on right side about 7 in length and one replacement spring. Metal Heywood-Wakefield tag on back. Minor wear and tear on cushions. Measurements, 6 long x 2.5 wide. Large angular back rest, flat arms with ten closely placed round reeds, Two-ply round reed at back, under arms and on skirting. Upholstered seat and back with original throw pillow! Measurements, 3 high x 2.5 wide. Graceful round back rest with six round reed armrests. Two-ply reed design at backrest, under arms and on skirting. Upholstered seat and backing with original throw pillow. With one replacement spring. Measurements, 3 high x 3.5 wide. Ive done a bit of research on this and the few similar ones that I was able to find were listed for upwards of 7K! The Stick Wicker Style. Stick wicker is tailored and stream lined, having evenly spaced paired vertical reeds, usually without overlapping design. Hand-woven Stick Wicker from the early 1920s is characterized by a Modernist quality to its often angular frame. Reed (The inner pith of the rattan wine) and cane (the glossy outer covering of the rattan vine) with fir wood being used in the framework. The condition of this item is fantastic given its nearly 100 years old. Been kept in the family for over 70+ years and has been taken well care of!
